| Russell Lawrence Fox, Principle Guest Conductor of he Los Angeles Chinese Musicians Ensemble Chorus, has been an active force in L.A.'s vibrant performing arts scene for over three decades. Fully committed to musical excellence to create heightened levels of multi-ethnic community involvement in the performing arts, Mr. Fox annually directs and coordinates 400 musical performers for the internationally broadcast Hollywood Bowl Easter Sunrise Service, a position he has held since 1983. Mr. Fox founded and directs "Performing Arts for International Relief " - a non-profit association of performing artists and patrons organized to generate funds through benefit performances for local, national and international relief of human suffering. Conductor of the 125-voice Southern California Mormon Choir for eight years, Mr. Fox is in high demand as conductor of both instrumental and vocal ensembles. Former music director and conductor of the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Bel Canto Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Fox's educational assignments have included chairman of the music department at Crossroads School, Santa Monica, resident music director of the Paulist Boy Choristers, St. Pauls School, Westwood, UCLA, Los Angeles City College and East Los Angeles College. No stranger to the either stage or studio, Mr. Fox composed, conducted and produced two soundtracks for Hanna-Barbera Studios The Greatest Adventure home video series. |
